  A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Members and Friends. Welcome to our brand new website in this our Society's Silver Jubilee year. My name is Paolo Brenni and I have been involved in the SIS since its ... foundation in 1983. In July 2005, I was honoured to be elected President and I repeat the pledge I made then, that I will work as much as possible with the Committee to develop the activities of the Society, to increase its worldwide membership and to maintain the high scholarly standard of the Bulletin. Over the last quarter century, the Scientific Instrument Society and its publications have played a very important role for historians, museum curators, collectors and enthusiasts....like you and like me. I am sure that in the future the Society will continue to be a beacon in the world of historic scientific instruments. If you're not a member yet, you can join now.
