  Concerned over libellous flaming and the ease with which children can access pornography online, Japan's communications ministry is suggesting the government starts regulating the internet by 2010 Leader: ... Search for "Tiananmen Square" on Google.com and the first result that comes up is a Wikipedia entry: "Tiananmen Square protests of 1989." Now try the same search at Google.cn, the portal for Chinese users. Back come pages largely of use to tourists. The Burmese junta was last night desperately trying to shut down internet and telephone links to the outside world after a stream of blogs and mobile phone videos began capturing the dramatic events on the streets. Iran yesterday shut down access to some of the world's most popular websites.
