The Engineering Technology Board (ETB) has launched a pilot project with the SEE and five other institutions to modernize how prospective and registered engineers advance their careers. The Professional Development System (PDS) has been designed by skills experts to provide a new simple process for future CEng, IEng and EngTech members to track their career progress against the UK’s standard for Professional Engineering and establish what skills they need to move up the career ladder after registration. Supported by six Engineering Institutions and the Engineering Council UK (ECUK), the secure online monitoring and support system is a custom development by SkilSure®.
