Defence Electronics History Society 

The Defence Electronics History Society (DEHS) was formerly the Friends of the Centre for the History of Defence Electronics (CHiDE). We are now pleased to announce a growing relationship with the Defence ... College of Management and Technology (DCMT) and Cranfield University at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Shrivenham. DEHS has members worldwide. Our aims are as follows: · To gather and share knowledge of the invention, development, production, operational use and maintenance of land, sea and air based electronic equipment and systems for defence. · To gather and record oral history from personal recollections of those who were involved in the above activities. · To develop a well-catalogued archive of documents relating to these activities. So far, we have devoted much of our attention to radar and radio communications during the Second World War, though this in no sense limits our interest in subject matter or period.
