Amberley Working Museum is a 36 acre open-air museum dedicated to the industrial heritage of the south-east. Staffed largely by volunteers, the museum contains a wide range of exhibits, ranging from transported-based ... collections, such as the Southdown bus collection & the village garage, to industry-based collections, such as the Print Workshop & Wheelwrights. Amberley is also home to a number of resident craftspeople, who work to traditional methods. From an award-winning blacksmith to a clay-pipe maker, Amberley helps to promote and preserve a number of traditional crafts & skills for future generations. A number of volunteer craft groups can also be found at Amberley; with such groups as the Wheelwrights, TATHS ( Tool & Trades History Society ) & the West Sussex Woodturners on site, to name but a few, the museum truly is home to the traditional crafts & skills of the area.
