Bloggers from across the world will be able to widen their audiences from today, after Google launched a free translation service. Anyone wanting to reach foreign readers can simply download a piece of ... software from translate.google.com and add it to their blog or website. This button will then allow visitors to the site to choose which language they would like it translated into. The Google Translate service will initially be limited to 13 languages, including French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Arabic, and will be restricted to translations from or to English. However, the search engine is hoping the service will be extended in the future. Recent research found that almost four million people in Britain regularly write a blog.
